Yesterday I charged my old Nokia N73 and the new Nokia N78 till the batteries were full. I want to find out the battery life of the N78 compared to the N73. The Nokia N73 has a 1100mah size battery and the N78 has a 1200mah, just like the newer versions of the N95. So of course I'm understanding that the N78 has a slightly larger battery that is also brand spanking new compared to my used and abused N78 battery.

I decided to do a little music playback test through the stereo loudspeakers at the volume setting of 1. I put one 4 minute track on repeat and put the phones in a drawer for the day. Both were in offline mode with all the same settings.

I started the test at 10:45 in the morning. I was hoping the test would last until the next morning, but the N73 crapped out around 7:25pm that same night.

The N78 on the other hand was still kicking till about 11:05pm that night. That's about 4.5 hours longer than it's predecessor the N73 lasted. Nice improvement!

But what happened to the supposed 24 hour music playback time that Nokia has been boasting about the Nokia N78? What are the variables? I'm guessing they tested through a wired headset since it probably takes more energy when using the loudspeaker like I did, even at the lowest volume.

The next battery test I will do on the N78 will be through a wired headset to see if it can really last 24 hours. If anyone knows for sure the variables of testing the battery please let me know.

Just as I figured, the Nokia N78 has great battery life. Packing the same size battery as it's predecessor the Nokia N73, the N78's new S60 Feature Pack 2 sure makes a difference in power consumption. Before I became a N82 owner I was spoiled by amount of usage I can get on one charge with the N73. Using the N78 for a few days now has once again reminded me what it feels like to get through more than a day or two of heavy usage.

Yesterday I put it through a rigorous test. Check out my results...

  • 5 hours music playback through wired headphones
  • Automatic Email Retrievel every 30 minutes, recieved about 15 emails.
  • 20 minutes of browsing w/ wifi
  • 20 minutes of browsing w/ data
  • Uploaded 15 pictures w/ Shozu to Ovi Website
  • Took about 6 pictures
  • Downloaded 30mb podcast w/ wifi
  • Sent/Received around 28 texts & mms
  • Voice Calls about 30 minutes
  • Played games about 15 minutes
  • Installed & tested about 5 new applications & 5 more themes
  • Watched 19 minutes of Youtube with the Mobitubia application
All that was in about a 9 hour span. At the end of the night I still had 5 bars left. I even reset the phone to make sure the battery meter was correct. The battery went on to last till about 11pm the next night under moderate to heavy conditions conditions.

If this test was done on my old and trusty Nokia N73 the battery might have just lasted till the next morning or early noon after a little more web browsing and music playback. I really believe that the new S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 firmware got about 3-5 extra hours out of the battery.

In a few days I'll be putting the N73 and the N78 to a head to head test just to see how much better Feature Pack 2 is at conserving battery life.

Stay tuned!

We've seen the OTA update feature sitting on our S60 phones for years now. At least I've seen it there since I had the Nokia N73. But no use has been made of it because I think Nokia was just teasing us. It would be so much easier to just download the firmware update and let it run from wherever we're at than having to come home and fiddle with cables and computers.

Over at Howard Forums today "friedbrains" informed us of a post over at the official Nokia forums by an administrator saying we should except an Over The Air firmware update to be announced soon for the Nokia N78.

Here's the contents of the post...

Here's a sneak preview on what will soon be added to NSU News, courtesy of the Nokia Software Update team:

------------------
Nokia N78 "over-the-air" software version 11.043 released - 23 June 2008

This "over-the-air" software release will not be available through the Nokia Software Updater application, but is available directly through your Nokia N78. The release includes improved stability with Bluetooth (headsets and car kits) and music (playback over a long time and content refresh). This release also includes optimized Camera performance and Naviscroll sensitivity improvements.

Technology innovations mean the size of this "over-the-air" update is approximately 2 MB. To get this software through your Nokia N78, click Menu > Tools > Utilities > Device Manager. Select Options > Check for updates and follow the on-screen prompts. Remember that you can also use Wi-Fi to download the update.

Nokia provides this software free of charge. However, costs for downloading may be charged by your network operator or service provider. Please contact them for information about pricing.

As with all software releases, note that your mobile service provider, operator, or carrier may not have approved this release. Nokia produces many different variants of each product (for different countries and languages) and not all variants have the latest Nokia device firmware. It is our priority to update all variants as quickly as possible.

If you want to see more of the post click here.

I'm hoping they bring this update within two weeks before I have to send the Nokia N78 back to WOM World. I also wonder if this will only be a "Feature Pack 2" feature or if it will be available for my N82 sometime as well.

What's In Store For The N78

This brings us to another question. What will this upcoming firmware update for the Nokia N78 consist of? I figure it's gonna be a bunch of bug fixes and enhancements. I've only had the N78 for a full day now & I found it to sometimes slowdown, freeze up, and some parts of the Web Browser to simply not work. Its not all the time, just sometimes. I figure it might be because this phone I'm testing is a pre-production model, but I haven't found out yet. I've also found the FM transmitter to be weak, it can't reach my cars antennae that's about 5 feet away. Huge bummer. Maybe a firmware update can fix this. We'll see hopefully in a few days.

I just got a sweet package on the porch last night. The highly anticipated Nokia N78 has landed in my hands along with the Nokia MD-4 portable speakers. Thanks to WOM World for the package. I haven't even popped open the box that the speakers are cuz I was super busy last night, but I have been playing with the N78 and loading it up with applications. This is going to be a fun review over the next two weeks since this will be my first time playing with S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 2. The N78 is the first phone to sport the new Feature Pack 2.

First off I'd like to say I'm a proud N82 owner. So some of my comments will be comparing it to the Nokia N82. I've also had plenty of time with the N95 & N73 so look out for some comparisons. Upon first laying eyes on the N78 I'm satisfied. Some say it's ugly, but I think not. It's a very simple and sleek design.

Buttons & Keys
When the phone is off or locked you really can't see anything but the D-pad & Multimedia button as the numeric keys are well hidden, almost flat to the phone. The right & left softkeys, call keys, delete, & menu keys are all part of the phone & can't be seen unless the backlight is on. They aren't touch sensitive like they look in photos, but rather one big button. I actually like the buttons so far. Texting is fast & accurate even though the buttons are small. It's really hard to explain, it's just something you gotta try for yourself.

Screen
The screen is bright and sharp, something I wish I can say about the Nokia N82. For some reason the designers of the N82 thought it would be smart if the screen got dimmer in the shade. We have no option of turning this setting off. I don't think the N78 does this as it seems it's always at the same brightness whether your in the darkness or light.

Hold The Phone
Just holding the phone in my hand is quite comfortable. It's thinner than both the N82 & N73 and is very pocketable. Fans of solid bar form factors will love the feel of the N78. I'm not scared to drop it to a carpet floor like I was with the N95. There is not one moving part on this phone, not even a lens protector (which is a bummer).

Camera Quality
Ehh I really haven't given it a good test yet. So far I can say I'm really unimpressed with the night shots, maybe even more so than the N73. Like I said earlier I'm coming from a N82 with xenon flash so this might be an unfair report. I'm going to review this more during the week. See a sample dim light shot below...

06/24/2008 - Share on Ovi

If you blow it up you can see how grainy the image is.

Feature Pack 2
Ok so far I'm impressed with the glitz & glamour of the new UI, but thats about. The handling of access points is a huge plus which I'll discuss later. The review of Feature Pack 2 will be something I'm going to take a close look at.

The Bad & The Ugly
I haven't had the phone for more than 12 hours so take this with a grain of salt. As of right now there are only a few things I hate about this phone. One thing is the figerprints. Nokia really needs to get away from this glossy & shiny finish. The black N82 is bad enough. I find the N78 to be even worse. It looks horrible if I don't wipe it after each use. By use I mean everytime I make a call or send a text. It's that bad. You gotta keep a soft cloth with you to keep this baby clean. Another negative is the new vertical active standby layout. It's not really customizable which I find really shocking. The naviwheel has some drawbacks as well, I'm still on the fence about this. The lack of a lens protector is really annoying & the back cover of the phone feels kind of cheap and loose. This may be a pre-production model, I gotta find out for sure.

Here is a gallery of some N78 photos I took last night...

This is just the first part of my review. Below are some of the things that will be covered:

Battery Life
Photo Quality
Feature Pack 2
Audio Quality & Music Experience
N78 vs. N73 vs. N82

If you have any questions or would like me to cover any aspects of the Nokia N78 let me know.

Free S60 Theme: Black & Red By Taieb

S60 theme master Taieb has posted up his next creation which I've been using since yesterday. Black & Red comes with custom icons and a new look for the folders. The screenshots below look a little grainy and do no justice for the great theme.

The popular Space Invaders spinoff Accelerinvaders for S60 has recently been updated to beat a few bugs and update the certificate. I've played with this new version on my Nokia N82 and it is a lot smoother and accurate compared to the previous version. It's now easier than ever to make your war against the martians.

Here's what's been updated according to the developer Luis Valente...

The game now uses the official Sensor API, which means that it is not required to install/use the RD Accelerometer Plug-in anymore.
Minor sensor tweaks.
Self-signed the game again with another certificate, because the previous one has expired. It should last for a long time now.

To play you just move your phone back and forth to control the direction of your gun and let the rockets fire!

If you haven't tried this game then what are you waiting for? Who doesn't like blowing aliens out of the sky. I find simple games like this funner for passing time than the highly touted N-Gage games. Accerinvaders was one of the first games developed to make use of the accelerometer in the Nokia N95 and N82. There are no high scores or options in this game, just launch and play.

Check out the video below to see the gameplay...

Right now the only bummer is I can't get it to go into landscape mode on the Nokia N82.

Click here for the download link, and if you want to learn more from the developer click here.

Thats right. With a flick of the wrists just like in real Foosball you wind up your player and smack the crap out of the ball. If your one of those that can't resist a foosball table then this game is for you. I have a few friends that are Foosball junkies.

Two students from the University of Applied Sciences in Austria are behind this project. Benjamin Gmeiner and Yen-Chia Lin are developing a table soccer game that uses the accelerometer in S60 phones like the N82 and N95 to control the players. This is a watered down version of the popular game which is just two against one, two players and a goalie. Holding the phone in landscape, tilt left and right moves the player across the table and rotating the phone towards you and away will wind up and shoot the ball.

Check out the video demo below and be amazed...

I found this yesterday over at the Forum Nokia Blogs where developers hang out and share what their working on. This application is developed with the Python language and I'm finding that Python is the easiest code to work with for developing applications and games for S60. I have a small application in mind that I think I'm gonna try. Keep in mind however this game is still under development and in beta phase. You can install it on your phone and see what they have so far.

For now head over the the article where you can read more about this game and find the download link. Make sure you have the latest version of Python installed.

Foos your heart out!

Today the Nokia E71 has become finally become official, and I have some new videos and photos to prove it. So far this phone is my favorite Eseries device and I'm seriously thinking about picking one of these up. The solid form factor, amazing battery, and high speed 3G internet is so tempting. Not to mention the 3.2mp camera.

This new video really does the E71 justice, more than any other video or photos we've seen. Check it out...

I love that sleek look with metallic edges. Not to mention this thing is slimmer than the iPhone making it perfect to slip into your pocket.

A new scrolling feature has been added in the Calendar application allowing you to see all your events during the day without having to push anything. Watch the video...

Another amazing announcement is that the E71 will also be coming in white. This is great to attract the women who want to have this amazing business phone while still showing their feminine side, and I also know many guys who would find the white attractive.

And of course the black version will probably be the best seller...

Last but not least, a photo sample showing off the 3.2mp camera. Not bad for a business phone huh? Credits to All About Symbian for the photo...

Multi-Touch Screen Powered By The Nokia N95

Posted by Mike Macias | Friday, June 13, 2008 | , | 0 comments »

The popular Symbian application developer Sittiphol is currently working on a new way to use the Nokia N95 as an engine to create a touch screen display on any television or monitor. It's really hard to describe what he has made, so check out the video below...

Sittiphol says,

Today I come to show you my new research project I just finished developing yesterday. It's called NeuScreen, a multitouch screen engine using Nokia N95. No more any other computer need. Sound similar to NeuTouch? Yes, but this project requires no box. Moreover, you can interact directly with tv screen.

This development is truely astonishing and once again shows the power of a Symbian powered smartphone. I can't wait to see the next video when he enhances his application even more.

Have you seen anything more innovative than this with the Nokia N95 or N82? I've seen the control of robots, RC cars, and those toy airplanes that you can fly around. Those are all amazing feats, but this project by Sittiphol is by far the most useful in the real world.

I published this article the other day at The N82 Blog to show off one of the most creative uses I've seen done with the Nokia N82. A reader Ming emailed me with a video he made of a plant growing. Using certain camera settings with the N82 he was able to capture 10 days worth of growth with over 1400 photos - all automatically. The 10 days of growth was condensed into a 2 minute video. The addition of titles and beautiful music completed this project.

Using a method he learned from the Finest Fones Blog, Ming was able to make an inspiring video to show off to readers of his blog.

Before you watch, Ming says,

Time lapse videography has always fascinated me; I mean, 3D animation is pretty cool, but messing with the 4th dimension (time) is way cooler. Watching nature at unnatural speeds is like witnessing pure magic. And thanks to the Nokia N82 (and any S60 device with a camera), it’s now completely within our reach.

Now check out the video below...

To learn more about this and see detailed steps of what he did, read this article and try it with your Nseries handset.

Share On Ovi Gets An Update & Video Guide

Posted by Mike Macias | Tuesday, June 10, 2008 | , , | 0 comments »

Nokia introduced Share On Ovi to us awhile back ago to challenge the popular photo sharing website Flickr and provide a place for Nokia users to store their photos, videos, and files online. Since the introduction Ovi has been introducing new services and features here and there and listening to user's requests in their support forums.

Today they added a few features, one that I am very happy about. I've always thought they need more size options for viewing the images online. You now have the option to view images at medium, large, extra large, and original. The extra large size will show your images up to 1280 pixels wide. Ovi says, "New photos posted to Share will present the Extra Large view immediately. It will take some time to render the new size view for existing photos. Be on the lookout for the updated view of your media."

Also PicLens now works with Share On Ovi. PicLens introduces a new way to view images online and was first introduced to me by Al from The Nokia Blog (aka Dr. Tran from Hofo).

What Share On Ovi says about PicLens...

PicLens is an innovative and unique way to immerse yourself in the media viewing experience. Install PicLens to view and browse media on Share in a full screen, interactive mode. PicLens is easy to install and use. Visit www.piclens.com to download and install the plug-in. After installation, simply mouse over media on Share and click on the PicLens play button that appears in the lower left hand corner to view.

If you want more features added to Ovi, head to the support forums and give them your feedback. I've already asked for embed options for tags and even more sharing options for individual photos in public channels. Hopefully we get these. Oh and not to mention geofeed support for embedding photos on a map. This way I can finally ditch Flickr for good. Come on Nokia, I know you can do it.

A New Video Tour
They have FINALLY made a tour video of Share On Ovi. You can already find one on the Nokia website, but this one gives you more insight that is even helpful to experienced users. Click here to see the video.

Every day I get more excited about Share On Ovi. I find new uses and upload to it constantly. I'm sharing media with my friends and family faster than I ever have before. Like I said there are a few things that need to be implemented, but from the looks of it they are well on their way.

Are you enjoying Share On Ovi, or have you yet to try it?

I find it hilarious that these Nokia touchscreen photos are leaked the same day Steve Jobs announced his new 3g iPhone. While the USA probably won't catch on to the new Nokia 5800 Xpress Media Tube, this thing will surely be a big seller in the world mobile market.

James from Talk About Nseries dug up some pictures on Flickr showing off a prototype model of the new 5800 Tube.

Why will this be a huge hit? Because it will be powered by the famous and "open" Symbian S60 smartphone operating system. It won't be locked down like the iPhone operating system.

All we know about Tube so far is it has a 3.2 megapixel camera and will sport a high res touchscreen display. So far it doesn't look like it will have a physical keypad which will surely turn off a large number a lot of people. You can put money on European 3g bands, but I won't be suprised if they leave out North American 3g.

If you haven't already, check out the newly added footage to the Nokia touchscreen demo commercial. The new interface will be backwards compatible with most of our favorite applications we use on our S60 phones today. Hopefully there won't be a need for the Sylus pen, they better make this thing fully compatible with large fingers.

Click here to see more pictures of the Nokia 5800 XpressMedia Tube.

Are you excited about this new finding? Or will Apple leave Nokia in the dust in the touchscreen market?

Photos: New Nseries Spotted In The Wild. Nokia N85?

Posted by Mike Macias | Monday, June 09, 2008 | , , | 0 comments »

Leave it to the tech giant Engadget to get the first spy photos of the next Nseries device. It's rumored to be the Nokia N85, but from comparing earlier reports of that model to these photos I'm not sure sure thats true. But who knows maybe I'm wrong.

Obviously these pictures are of an early prototype as the phone looks unfinished and lacking detail. Check them out below (flash slideshow)...

What do we see so far?

Double LED Flash, no Xenon(booooo!), 5 megapixels, large screen (2.8"), single slider (not dual like N95, thankfully), D-pad looks to be touch sensitive when buttons light up, probably has a navi-wheel, it's slim, oh and it has a lens cover.

Here's what I'm hoping...

Large 1500 mah battery, touchscreen, two micro-sd slots, sturdy yet light, addition of xenon flash.

Overall I like the style of it and if they can make this thing sturdy as a rock I may consider getting this. The large screen and slim build is what's attracting me to this more than the N95 ever did. I gotta see some night photos first to see how the double led stands against my N82's xenon flash.

Think back to late last year, if you remember a S60 video was released showing off the upcoming Touch interface thats supposed to rival the iPhone. Some were impressed, others weren't. Personally I was on the fence about the UI, but I'm starting to like the way they are going with it. They threw in some more content to save some money, not having to remake the entire commercial.

Video...

So what say you? Are they looking good, or still have lots of work? Am I the only one noticing the awkward scrolling in the Web browser. Or am I being picky? Steve L. from All About Symbian also noticed the same thing. By the way, that was my source of this video.

I'm hoping that they make a method to input text with your finger and not just a stylus. And I know some would still love to have a real keypad along with the touchscreen. That sounds like an idea.

Will you wait for this phone to be released (like me)? Or jump on the 3g iPhone. Shoot for all we know the 3g iPhone will be outdated by the time Nokia gets off their arses with a touchscreen S60 device.

Video: Nokia N78 Reviewed by SIMO

Posted by Mike Macias | Saturday, June 07, 2008 | , , | 0 comments »

Zach from Symbian In Motion got his hands on a Nokia N78 and has posted a few video reviews. I always love his reviews cuz they are up front and honest.

The first video is a basic overview of the phone where he covers everything from the form factor to the UI which of course has Symbian S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 2. Zach seems a little unimpressed with the Nokia N78. The navi-wheel doesn't work the way he likes and he mentions the keypad will take some getting used to. One thing that stands out to me is he thinks the N78 is lacking IMAP Idle, which will obviously be a catastrophe. Hopefully he digs around and can find it somewhere in the settings, I don't believe Nokia is that dumb to leave it out. When I asked him about this, here's the reply.

Yes, the phone supports IMAP protocol. The problem is that it doesn't support IMAP idle. In other words, rather than maintaining an active connection to the mailbox and updating in near-real time (IMAP idle) with headers, the email app will poll every XX minutes as it does with POP. This means that when new mail arrives the email app will download the header and then disconnect. If you want to read it you click on it and then wait for the email app to connect to the mailbox (again), wait for it to download the email and wait for it to open the message. No good.

I agree with Zach, no bueno.

I also agree with him that there should be a News Ticker from the Web applications RSS Feeds that can be embedded on the standby screen. Simple things like this can make the experience of the N78 so much better. Sure they added the vertical standby menu, but it doesn't seem like they went above and beyond like they could have and should have. Snippets of emails and text messages should be added to the standby screen, along with more customization.

to check out the detailed 16 minute video review by Zach from SIMO.

The second video Zach shot is embedded below. It shows off a pre-installed theme on the N78 thats gives different and better looking transitions than the one he used in his full video review. This discovering leaves me wondering if 3rd party developers will have the option to create their own transitions and effects for their custom themes. Who knows what the minds of Pizero and Babi theme makers can come up with for transitions.

Check out the video below showing off the transitions in Feature Pack 2...

Hands on with the Nokia N78, Again from Zach Epstein on Vimeo.

Overall I think the N78 is a great phone. The form factor is great and I'm sure I can get used to the keys. I don't think it's worthy of upgraded from my N82 though, I am to spoiled with the xenon flash. Feature Pack 2 does look pretty, but not enough for me to upgrade.

Has anyone seen any retailers selling the North American 3g version of this phone yet? I read a rumor today that Nokia is still in negotiations with AT&T to pick up this phone. If this happens I may think about buying one at a cheaper price and unlocking it so it's just like I bought it from Nokia unlocked. I'll keep you guys updated.

Last week I told you guys about the latest version of Google Maps, bringing the ability to create favorites and even import your old ones from Nokia Maps. This newest version is also much smoother and I'm finding a GPS lock even faster. There was a bug however that prevented you from using the center selector key on certain screens. This has now been fixed.

Train & Bus Routing Should Be Coming Soon

Another great find I made is the upcoming feature that will give you bus & train directions instead of normal driving locations. It gives you routes, times, and rates. This is going to be a great feature that I can't wait for, especially with the rising gas prices. Taking the bus somewhere will be that much easier if I can just punch the locations into my phone and get instant results. If this works how it should I'd feel more confident taking the bus places without having to figure out the route and times before I leave the house. I can change up my routes on the fly now since I'll have my phone with me at all times.

Check out the demo video below...

Right now this feature is only available for Blackberry and Java based phones. I'm sure Google has this feature coming soon for S60 devices, but no official word has been made. I really can't wait for this feature to be added to my Nokia N82.

Go to google.com/gmm to get the latest version of Google Maps for S60.

Maps on Ovi: Routing - Share on Ovi

Today I was checking out Nokia's new Conversations website where you can read articles and interact with people from Nokia. I came across an article about an upcoming feature to be added to Nokia's Ovi suite. Maps on Ovi will be a link between your phone's Nokia Maps and your computer based browser, allowing you to save favorite places and create new routes. Basically you do the hard stuff from the computer then sync it with the Nokia Maps application on your S60 smartphone.

Check out how Nokia describes the upcoming new service...

As part of Ovi, Maps on Ovi provides a browser interface for map markup and searching. What's more, the items you save in Maps on Ovi can be uploaded to your phone. For example, you can create a travel route and collect map information on a big-screen computer and then have it all synchronized to your phone for when you are out and about.

Below is a promo video showing of Maps On Ovi with the Nokia N96...

I've always been on the fence about Nokia Maps. For my everyday use Google Maps is much more useful since it shows me traffic information and loads much faster. I find searching for places much better as well. But thats about it. Sure Nokia Maps does all that, but in my opinion not as efficiently.

Routing, on the other hand is where Nokia Maps excels over Google Maps. If I'm going on a long trip or somewhere I've never been I enjoy using Nokia's option much better. Google Maps can do it, but Nokia Maps makes me feel like I'm using a real navigation system like the ones built into cars. Plus you have the option to buy a license for Voice Navigation which of course is especially useful for road trips. Also you don't need to have a data connection with Nokia Maps for those times you don't have unlimited data with your provider or are in a rural area not getting a signal.

The addition of Maps On Ovi will enhance the Nokia Maps experience even more. Making routes and destinations will be amazingly useful since it's such a pain to try and do it on your mobile, which most people end up waiting till the last minute. This way before you hit the road you will have your whole route planned out and ready in the Nokia Maps application.

This finding leads me to another point. I'm really starting to see Nokia's vision of their Ovi website. We already have all our photos and videos stored there. So far I think it' been successful, I've found myself almost completely switched over from Flickr. Nokia is planning on making a web based Contacts On Ovi section as well. This will allow you to sync all your Contacts and access them from any computer that has an internet connection. I'm hoping they tie in your N-Gage profile and the Nokia Music Store as well in the future. It would be great to have everything centralized on one website and give Nokia owners a huge "one-up" on other cell phones.

Do you like the way Nokia seems to be heading with the Ovi website? Is Maps On Ovi something your gonna find useful?

Dedicated Gaming Keys On The N95? Yes There Are

Posted by Mike Macias | Wednesday, June 04, 2008 | , , | 0 comments »

Well well, Nokia has answered recent calls for more use out of the multimedia keys on the Nokia N95. With the latest firmware update the two middle multimedia keys are used as A and B keys for N-Gage games. It's been reported that this works for every N95 variant, but some owners are saying it's still not working on certain product codes. Check to see if its working on yours.

I think this is a great move by Nokia getting this implemented. When I had the N95 for a month I used the media keys maybe twice, mainly cuz it's just a main to slide open the phone just to change tracks. Check out this awesome theme from one of my new favorite theme makers Babi. I have this theme called "Two" installed on my Nokia N82.

These are some of the cleanest icons I've seen and they can be found on most of Babi's free Nokia themes. Almost every application on my phone has a custom icon including the 3rd party icons such as Google Maps, Slick IM, Calcium Calculator, Mr. Lock, Mobitubia, Snakes, Sports Tracker, Shozu, & Symella. Thats the best coverage of 3rd party application custom icons I've seen on any theme. It really helps keeping your phone looking professional and uniform.
