After having an actual experience with an N95 8gb for a few days now, courtesy of womworld, do I feel regretful of not choosing it over the Nokia N82?
Here's a list of what I loved from the N95 8gb:
1. The biggger screen - I was happy with the N82's screen but I never thought the experience with the N95's 2.8" display would be wayyy better. The pleasure effect of the 0.4" difference was much superior than I expected it to be.
2. The looks - Sexy black and a slider phone. The looks is even pumped up by the big lcd display. There's no way the N82 can cope up in this department. The N95 can easily grab attention and receive praises and immediate appreciations. Slide it down and show the evidence of being a dual slider, and everyone will say "wow", or at least at the back of their minds, everyone will think "wow".
3. Dedicated music keys - fast, easy and comfortable music while on the go. Absent on the N82.
4. Entertainment experience - Internet browsing, watching videos and gaming on a bigger screen is always a more enjoyable experience. I can also play n-gage games in landscape mode and with dedicated gaming keys. I actually think it looks like a mini psp at first glance. Landscape gaming is even more fun when plugged onto a television. Feels and looks like a true dedicated gaming console. On my n82, all n-gage games are restricted to portrait mode, which is a bummer on tv-out.
5. The charger and usb port - placed on the bottom of the device. Thumbs up as oppose to the N82's being positioned on the side.
Things I hated:
1. Poor indoor and night shots - Xenon flash, one of the major reasons why I bought the N82, is not present on the N95 8gb. It only has a single-led flash, which results to pictures with bluish tints, grains, and colors not as alive as N82 shots.
2. Build quality - it has a plasticky feel and the sliding mechanism is a bit wobbly, no way near with the E66 I have trialled before. The N82 is definitely more solid in the hands.
3. The size of the device - The N95 is about 2.8mm wider and 3.7mm thicker than the N82. It is bulkier and uncomfortable on jeans. I also do not feel relaxed texting with it one-handed.
4. A camera cover would be nice.
5. With the moving parts and gaps on the keypad and on the top and bottom of the device, it looks like dusts can easily get inside, but let's see after a few weeks.
6. Storage memory is limited to 8gb.
The position of the audio port, being on left side of the device, is a good thing that it does not get in the way while gaming with the headset or tv-out plugged into it. But it's troublesome when listening to music through wired headsets with the phone inside your pocket.
Well, I admit that I kind of desire the better entertainment experience that the N95 offers, but all things considered, after almost a year with the Nokia N82, I am still happy and not regretful of choosing it. I preferred it because it's more compact and solid, and not to mention, it's cheaper.
Overall, I am really impressed with the N95 8gb. I can confidently recommend a purchase of this device to friends and relatives. Expect more coverage about this device on upcoming posts.

I've originally decided for the N95 8GB over the N82, due to the bigger screen as main decision point and the bigger battery. Yet, my wife has an N82 and I loved the photos, the much faster OS (incl. GPS) and the xenon flash.
Luckily, both phones are good, so you cannot really make a mistake ;-)
I have both the N82 and N95 8GB and have used them both for 6 months each, I definatly prefer the N82, a couple of other differences not mentioned are, the N82 GPS is much more sensative than the N95 and in my opinion the N82 just seems to run faster and smoother the N95 seems to have more bugs in the firmware.

Yes, both phones really are good. The same thing I tell to my friends, that they will never go wrong choosing any of these devices.
Thanks for mentioning the N82's gps being better than the N95's. You are totally right and it's well documented on many blogs about the speed and efficiency of gps with the N82. Mainly because of the its gps receiver being positioned on the top of the device.
