One of the huge gripes of S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1 is the lack of oohs and ahhs in the UI's design. Many have debated on getting the N95 or waiting for the N96 just for the cool menu transitions that comes with Feature Pack 2. Aparently the Nokia N81 just got a firmware update and menu transitions are included. Check out the video to prove it...
This is awesome news because this means menu transitions will probably be coming to my Nokia N82 in the next update, or at least I'm hoping. I don't see why not. It's really interesting to me that Nokia has released this feature before the Nokia N96 comes out. Feature Pack 2 is one of the big selling points for the N78 and N96.
By the way the new firmware version for the Nokia N81 is 20.0.056. Let us know if you get yours upgraded and what you think about the new features.
